Some Past Field Services Project Examples

Dynamo was retained by HudBay Minerals to refurbish one (1) 30 MVA, 115–25 kV power transformer. Work included the removal of all mineral oil and re-gasketing of all flanged connection points including: all HV and LV bushings, temperature thermal wells, cooling radiators, inspection covers, and oil piping.

Dynamo completed a design-build 138 kV substation as part of the Melt Shop expansion project at the Regina facility.  Deliverables included detailed engineering, installation of all piles, foundations, then fabrication and installation of structural steel, and steel pile caps.

Dynamo was originally retained by Yara to perform a scoping study to evaluate present and future loading requirements.  Based on future plant increases and aging electrical infrastructure, the study recommended the installation of two (2) new, fully redundant 138–13.8 kV transformers and a new 13.8 kV switchgear line-up.

Dynamo has grown to be a trusted service provider and partner for SaskPower, completing numerous support projects under numerous Master Service Agreements.  Our scope of supply ranges from engineering to substation construction complete with structures, custom E-House control building manufacturing, relay protection and SCADA panel supply, as well as complex testing and commissioning services.

Dynamo was retained to complete the scope of work which included structure fabrication and erection, apparatus installation including switches, breakers and current transformers, bus erection, cable trench installation, removal/salvage work along with below grade ducting as well as below and above grade grounding work.
