PROJECT SUMMARY
SECTOR:
Food
CLIENT:
MPE Engineering
DURATION OF PROJECT:
2 Months
PROJECT SUMMARY:
Dynamo was contracted to construct a CSA-certified PLC Control Bay from the preliminary layout and schematic drawings provided by the client. Also included were the supply of network computers and associated software. From Dynamo’s extensive panel design experience, our team suggested alternative design options to better suit the client’s design requirements. These suggestions were reviewed, approved, and implemented into the final design.
Several supply chain issues were encountered, including manufacturer backlogs, stock shortages, and excessive material lead times. Dynamo overcame these challenges and improved lead times by sourcing parts through alternate channels, sourcing equivalent temporary components for testing purposes, streamlining onsite activities with site personnel, and moving FAT testing to the site to improve the overall project schedule
